My Story: Battling Self-Doubt to Success
My name is Robert Mwangi and this is my blog.
I Robert S Kamau was born on the 13th of June in the mid-1990s to two high school teachers. I was born alongside one brother and we grew up in a humble background but my parents further scaled up to a rather middle-class social class. In school, I was the quiet kid who secretly had a deep analytical mind.
In middle school, I got fairly good grades but at some point, it became a haphazard trajectory. Perhaps it was my secret love for females that led to an occasional decline in my grades.
Despite this kind of “love” I was too shy to even say hi to my crush. Hi Grace M from Grade 1, I hope you doing OK. I know I messed up big time for being too shy hehe. I loved solitude and being an introvert. This helped me think better, and work better in a world I felt like I didn’t fit in. I later realized that this feeling was because of my highly spiritual consciousness that ousted itself in adulthood.
Years passed and I soon was a teenager deeply in love with Rock Music and the Black Veil Brides. Fast forward to after high school I enrolled in law school but later dropped out and pursued a degree in Business and IT which came from a childhood passion for watching hackers in movies do their thing!
After my degree, I undertook self-employment in various non-tech business ventures since finding employment in the corporate sector in a third-world country became a daunting task.
I succeeded in some like the current business I am into at the moment while failing terribly in others like the onion farm above, damn that was tough!. But anyway we learn and we grow.
In 2020 during COVID, I started as a small-time content creator making random YouTube videos and doing pranks. Later I learned web development, scaled up my WordPress skills, and started a side hustle where I would make money designing websites for clients from individuals to big corporations.
I later scaled up my WordPress skills and cyber security skills to match up the rising rate of technological advances. I did it consistently until I found success in bagging clients from individuals to getting contracts from schools and corporations (Thank God for networking)
Currently, I am into business and web design. I also do blogs and am happy to help with your WordPress related queries!
